On June 5th, I am going to drive over 5,200 miles round trip to help rescue/adopt Angel a wolf dog rescued from a trap. I will also help transport 2 other dogs from California to Texas on my way home.
I am still looking for a dog to help transport heading west, the one I
was to help transport west to San Diego fell through. If you know of a

I am choosing to do this during my 2 free weeks this summer (actually,
year). I will start to drive June 5th, this will be the day after my 3
children finish school and go to visit/stay with their grandparents.

When I created my fundraiser, I did not properly calculate my expenses.
I am on disability and my funds are very limited ($550 a month). Since I
made plans for my rescue transport effort, many unforeseen expenses
were incurred for my journey. One out of pocket expense for me was many
roles of welded chicken wire ($30 each). I had to dig a 2' ditch around
my yard, so I could nail the wire to my fence and bury the rest to
prevent stray dogs from digging in, letting my animals out. this was a
great task for me, considering I live on about a 1/4 acre, and I have a
form of muscular distraphy! (My fingers fumble). I also had to stock up
on pet supplies so my animals are taken care of in my absence.
I changed the oil and spark plugs in my car, afterwards, I was told by many different people I needed tires.
So, I changed those too, along with new windshield wipers. NOW, I am
also hearing from friends the fact that gas has risen about 60 cents in
the past few weeks in the western states. Sigh.
This means I will
not make it back home with Angel with the funds I am left with now, and
absolutely no room for expenses such as coffee and food, and most
importantly, I need to pay the adoption fee for Angel.

Tessa
from Pets Forever Found / Humane Society of The High Desert has agreed
to hold on to her until I get there, she has NO experience with wolf
dogs, so she is keeping Angel separated from
her smaller rescue animals. ♥
I am VERY thankful Tessa is willing to hold onto her until my arrival
I am going to give the wolf dog now named Angel a forever
